Our Legislators

State Senator Christine Marsh

Senator Christine Marsh was elected in 2020 and currently serves on the Education Committee, Transportation & Technology Committee and Judiciary Committee. She is the 2016 AZ Teacher of the Year. In that role, she had the opportunity to travel across the state to see first-hand the issues that public schools were – and are — facing on a daily basis.  She carries those lessons now as she serves in the State Senate from Legislative District 4.

State Representative Laura Terech

Laura Terech is a teacher, community organizer, and first-term legislator in the Arizona State House. She currently serves on the Education Committee and Elections & Municipal Oversight Committee.  After a career as an elementary school teacher in the Pendergast Elementary School District, Laura turned to community organizing, knowing we must make structural changes to how and when Arizona invests in its public schools. She’s spent the last several years as a leader in her community and local advocacy groups focused on public education and voting rights.
