Our City and State governments rely on Boards and Commissions to inform their decision making.  The vast majority of these positions are filled by community volunteers, like you! Support our community by being a voice for progressive values in our local government. With a wide variety of boards, commissions and task forces, there is bound to be a position that matches your interest and availability.

The City of Scottsdale has 30 boards, commissions, committees and task forces comprised of about 150 volunteers. Most terms are 3 years and positions are filled throughout the year.

The City of Phoenix Board and Commission members provide input to the Mayor, City Council, City Manager and city departments on a variety of issues affecting the city. All residents are welcome to participate in this important process. Good government is not just the responsibility of elected officials and city employees—residents also play an important role.

The Governor’s office has over 225 boards, commission, task forces, councils and committees offering a wide variety of roles and responsibilities. There are approximately 700 current vacancies and we need dedicated Arizonans, like you,  to apply.
